A Nice Time in Nice, France.

The city of Nice, France made my life really easy. It may be one of the most beautiful places in the world and I was able to just snap away with everything looking like it was staged just for me! The markets to start, were so bright and full and perfect. The city itself was rich in culture and cobblestones and cheesemongers. The infamous French Riviera was even more beautiful than any photographs I’ve seen. If it’s not on your list of places to see, I recommend you start changing your list! My favorite thing to do in Nice was grab a sandwich from one of the many Boulangeries and head down to one of the rocky beaches and people watch and swim in the brightest blue water you will ever see.

Nice is one of those cities you want to get lost in. Every corner of the city has something different to offer, and not having a plan of action was the best plan of action. I quite literally ate my way through each area I stumbled upon. Cheese at the cheesemonger, a cappuccino at a patisserie, steamed mussels at a random cafe; it’s just the tip of the iceberg. I can honestly say that I didn’t have a bad meal once.

I also took two day trips. I first went to the village of St. Paul De Vence, which seemed like it came straight from my imagination. It was pretty surreal. My friends and I then went to a charmig family owned vineyard and sampled some delicious Rosé. The second trip was Cannes. It was a beautiful city, but I found it to be quite underwhelming. Everything else was very commercialized, which I suppose is to be expected in Cannes! The beaches were definitely the nicest part of the city.

Overall it was a dreamy trip filled with laughter, wine, and cheese in a few of the beautiful cities that the South of France has to offer. It was such a special trip for me because I got to spend it with two of my very dear friends Emily and Jacob. I’d like to give a big shout out to them for having the patience to deal with my constant shooting, especially of them. It was a perfectly timed trip to capture some candids as they just celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary!
